At Hellas Gold, our primary focus is to provide sufficient training opportunities for our employees and partner contractors. Training provides the legal framework for compliance of our workforce with our policies, a guide for skills development, and the procedures required for the safe and effective performance of their duties.

TRAINING METHODS AND CHANNELS

Digital and lifelong learning

As part of the transition to the digital age, Hellas Gold, Greece’s largest mining company, invests in digital learning tools and platforms offering access to diverse e-learning and self-learning resources. We encourage our workforce to cultivate and adopt a digital and lifelong learning culture.

 

Training programs during work.  

Lifelong learning internal seminars.   

Self-learning programs with the use of digital learning platforms.   

Experiential Learning Programs (simulation & augmented virtual reality).   

External in-person & distance seminars with an option for funding from LAEK (Account for employment and vocational training), in partnership with the Greek and international learning and educational bodies.  

SIMULATOR EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

Training in real-world conditions

By investing in technological innovation and simulators, we seek to fuel skills growth and optimize the mining methodology.

Additionally, we lead the way in training our technical personnel by introducing and implementing new training methods, such as experiential learning. E-learning prepares our employees in real-world mining conditions. The interactive features of our simulators are designed to train employees in handling mining equipment. Enhancing their skills helps foster a culture of safety in our workforce and offers deeper knowledge in optimizing production.

CREATING A MODERN TRAINING CENTER

People are at the core of our success

We are focused on creating a modern training center for the development and improvement of our people’s professional skills, because they are at the core of our business plan’s success.

On the road to modernization, we upgraded the existing building facilities and we equipped them with the latest state-of-the-art learning tools. In this friendly learning environment and with the help of experienced trainees, employees can update and enrich their techniques and knowledge, and gain extra experience. Training starts from theory-based courses, moves on to lab sessions and specialized learning modules, and is complete with field practice.
