CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FRAMEWORK

We establish the groundwork for responsible business conduct.

At Hellas Gold, we are dedicated to generating social, environmental, and economic value throughout the entire mining life cycle. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is integral to our business, enabling us to provide enduring sustainable value for our stakeholders at corporate, local, national, and international levels. Our aim is to foster trust and deliver sustainable outcomes for our host communities by addressing their expectations and resolving community issues.

In addition to ensuring compliance with local laws, our CSR policy actively encourages and reinforces continuous alignment with international initiatives and best practices. These global legal and regulatory standards are integrated into the Environment, Society, Corporate Governance (ESG) indicators, guiding our commitment to sustainable and responsible investments.

CSR PROCESS

Our community investment

Our activities under CSR are grouped in two main categories:

  • Strategic Actions and Initiatives, and
  • Investments upon request / emergency response fund

All requests are reviewed in relation to the CSR policy and pillars. We prioritize projects and initiatives that bring long-term positive impacts, place emphasis on the areas of focus and harmonize with our values. In compliance with CSR, the related areas of focus are:

Community Investment Plan

In order to achieve the maximum possible contribution to the above-mentioned goals, we have developed the Community Investment Plan (CIP), which presents the approach of Hellas Gold concerning investments in the communities affected by the Kassandra mines project. This plan will be regularly reviewed to support the 25-year investment program totaling $80 million.

CSR Process

Additionally, we have established a structured Community Investment implementation Process, which outlines all the actions from the submission of a request to its approval or rejection, as well as the completion and evaluation of its impact.

Reviews & reports

With a strong sense of accountability, we prepare internal and external reports and reviews to disclose our social initiatives and the progress we make towards our goals. We evaluate the effectiveness of our initiatives, identify any issues, and adjust our strategy to improve our performance.
